Ann's Pumpkin Pie |

Preheat the oven to 450°F
|

1 9-inch unbaked pastry shell
|
Flute the edge of the shell high to hold the filling.
|
1 1/2 cups pumpkin
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch of mace
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup milk
1/2 cup light cream
2 eggs, well beaten

Combine ingredients in the order listed.

Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
Lower oven temperature to 325° and continue baking for 40-60 minutes, or until filling is set. (Cracks in filling surface indicate it is done.)
